Reducing the time spent on mass recruitment of candidates with English proficiency for the Support department. A two-stage automated project on the TEST2STAFF platform was created for the client company. We developed customized tests based on the working materials of the company’s Support department. Total number of tests passed: 907 placement and 665 writing tests.

Client

Cloud-based website development platform, among its competitors: Weblium, SITE123, SquareSpace, Weebly, Ucraft. It is a leading international IT company with more than 180,000,000 users worldwide.

Objective

Due to the company’s growth, it was decided to replenish the Support team with specialists with at least Upper Intermediate English, especially written communication skills. It was necessary to check a large number of candidates, facilitate and make the process dynamic, optimizing the time to close vacancies.

Solution

We offered the following solution:
1️⃣Placement Test to determine the level of English proficiency. The required level for the position is not lower than Upper Intermediate.
2️⃣ If the candidate receives a sufficient number of points, he/she proceeds to the second stage of the test, the Writing Test.

We created 4 personal accounts for different recruiting teams on the T2S platform for the client company. To fully meet the customer’s needs, we customized the Placement Test: we changed the structure and type of tasks, which reduced the time to pass the test by 50%. The Writing Test tasks were developed based on real work cases of the Support team, so the candidate gave their vision of solving specific professional situations while completing the task. All tests were double-checked by an auditor and approved by a tutor, which eliminated the human factor.

Project results

  • Significant time savings: eliminating candidates based on one of the main criteria at the first stage of the recruiting funnel.
  • All members of the recruiting team, regardless of their personal level of English, were involved in the selection process.
  • Fast procedure: within 24 hours, recruiters had a complete candidate profile by English proficiency.
  • Accessibility of results: all tests are stored in the company’s account and are available to recruiters, which can be exported to the internal system of the client company.
  • The same evaluation criteria for all applicants, regardless of location or country.
